Description

This project provided a model for U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) and other Federal Land Management Agencies (FLMAs) interested in using Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) and related technologies for road condition inspections. Through demonstration flights and data analysis, the research identified opportunities and challenges of using UASs and related remote sensing technologies for condition inspections on FLMA roads, including documentation of current licensing, hardware, and software requirements.
