Description

This research project developed a framework to help transportation planning practitioners at Federal Lands Management Agencies (FLMAs) integrate public health and equity into their work through identified strategies, recommended action steps, and effective practices. This study examined how FLMAs are integrating public health into transportation planning activities and synthesized existing effective strategies for integration. Six selected case studies demonstrate ways that federal agencies can begin to change their practices and improve public health outcomes on federal lands.
