Description
This research project developed a framework to help transportation planning practitioners at Federal Lands Management Agencies (FLMAs) integrate public health and equity into their work through identified strategies, recommended action steps, and effective practices. This study examines how FLMAs are integrating public health and equity into transportation planning activities and synthesizes existing effective strategies for integration. Six selected case studies demonstrate ways that federal agencies can begin to change their practices and improve public health and equity outcomes on federal lands.
