Description

This project will develop best practices for the use of License Plate Reader (LPR) technology on various federal lands settings while meeting federal data security and privacy requirements. LPR technology has potential to improve our understanding of vehicle flow and movement if studied further. This information is critical for maintaining a high-quality visitor travel experience. The technologies needed to monitor travel levels and patterns are rapidly evolving and park managers need to know what congestion and flow monitoring technology will work in various park settings.
