Timothy Marshall

Division Director, Eastern Federal Lands Highway Division

Marshall is the Director of Eastern Federal Lands Highway Division for the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) located in Ashburn, VA with Regional Project Offices located in Sevierville, TN, Tupelo, MS, and Hato Rey, PR. Eastern Federal Lands operates as part of the Federal Lands Highway Program, serving the transportation engineering needs of Federal Land Management Agencies and other federal/state/local partners to address transportation needs on Federal and Tribal lands in 31 eastern states, District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. He leads a talented team of transportation professionals to deliver an annual construction program of approximately $380M with $1.3B in active construction projects.
 
Prior to serving in his current position, Mr. Marshall held many different positions within FHWA including Iowa Division Administrator; Team Leader for FHWA’s Stewardship, Oversight, and Program Management Team; Assistant Division Administrator in the Wisconsin Division; Engineering and Operations Manager in the Michigan Division; and multiple positions with FHWA’s Central Federal Lands Highway Division in Construction and Project Management.  Mr. Marshall began his career in 2003 as a Bridge Engineer in FHWA’s Professional Development Program.
 
Mr. Marshall holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University and is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Colorado.
