Brent L. Coe, P.E.
Acting Division Director and Chief of Engineering, Western Federal Lands Highway Division
Brent Coe is the Acting Director of the Western Federal Lands Highway Division (WFLHD) in the Federal Highway Administration. He is also continuing in his role as Chief of Engineering. As the Acting Division Director, Mr. Coe exercises executive direction over the activities within the division to effectively promote, implement and administer the Federal Lands Highway Program, serving the transportation engineering needs of Federal Land Management Agencies such as our National Parks, Forests, Wildlife Refuges, and other interagency partners within the geographical area of the Division.
Mr. Coe became the Chief of Engineering for Western Federal Lands Highway Division located in Vancouver, WA in 2021. In this role he is responsible for the management, leadership, and day-to-day engineering operations of a staff of professional, technical, and administrative support personnel who are developing engineering solutions and administering construction contracts to improve safety and develop transportation solutions for Federal Land Management Agencies across the Northwestern United States.
Prior to becoming the Chief of Engineering, Mr. Coe held previous leadership positions at Western Federal Lands including Project Management Branch Chief and Construction Engineer. Mr. Coe graduated from the Oregon Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering Technology and is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Washington.
