We Remember

The Federal Highway Administration commemorates eleven members of the FHWA family who lost their lives while performing their duties as public servants. At 9:02 a.m. on April 19, 1995, a terrorist's bomb went off on the north side of the Alfred P. Murrah Building in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The FHWA's Oklahoma Division Office, including the Federal-aid Division Office and the Office of Motor Carriers, was located on the fourth floor. As a result of the blast, most of the building's structure collapsed and 168 persons died. Eleven of them were FHWA employees. We remember them and their commitment to public service as we strive to fulfill our mission.
