This countermeasure tech sheet discusses the use of several crosswalk visibility enhancements to reduce vehicular crashes involving pedestrians. These enhancements include high-visibility crosswalk marking, parking restrictions on the crosswalk approach, advance and in-street YIELD or STOP markings and signs, curb extensions, and improved lighting.
