Numetric

Description:

Numetric is an off-the-shelf configurable, cloud-based traffic safety analytics platform that can transform, connect, integrate and perform quality assurance on safety-related data—including crash, asset, LRS, citation, and roadway attribute data and shapefiles. Numetric includes the following suite of applications that facilitate quantitative analysis throughout the Roadway Safety Management Process, report generation, and data dissemination to stakeholders:

  • Numetric Network Screening application provides Departments of Transportation with statewide rankings based on HSM methodologies. Calculations can include crashes per mile, crash rate, and crash rate versus expected crash rate, depending on the data provided by the organization. In addition, Network Screening can provide ranked lists based on user needs—for example, intersections, cities, counties, regions/districts, countermeasures, and roadway attributes. This information is packaged in a downloadable and sharable Network Screening Report.
  • Numetric Safety Analysis application diagnoses road segment safety needs and then, through HSM-powered calculations, helps engineers determine the optimal mix of countermeasure selections to meet these needs and generate the highest benefit-cost ratio.
  • Numetric Project Design application delivers concept-level project cost estimates, building custom quotes for any selected road segment, allowing users to apply possible treatments or replacements to quotes, and automatically calculating and factoring in additional costs like inflation, engineering, and traffic control, so transportation agencies can prioritize their projects.
  • Numetric Crash Query application allows users to query using natural language to address a variety of requests commonly fulfilled by a Department of Transportation–for example, Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request, planning, crash, safety, city, and county. This information is packaged in a downloadable Crash Report that can be shared.
  • Numetric Asset Query application lets users locate and investigate roadway assets in a GIS interface.
  • Numetric Citation Query application allows users to understand and plan law enforcement efforts around traffic safety by filtering citation data.
  • Numetric Workbooks reporting system, included with the Crash Query, Safety Analysis, and Network Screening applications, allows traffic safety agencies to view their information and customize sharing of the data with stakeholders. Agencies can build customized dashboards and reports for individual stakeholders and then make them accessible to any outside user via cloud-based public portals.
