This tool is the second of two user guides that accompany the Improving Safety on Rural Local and Tribal Roads-Safety Toolkit. The user guide demonstrates how to use the tools provided in the Toolkit to conduct a proactive analysis of signalized intersections across a network. Specifically, it provides example applications of all seven steps from the Toolkit’s step-by-step process: compile data; conduct network screening, select sites for investigation, diagnose site conditions and identify countermeasures; prioritize countermeasures for implementation; implement countermeasures; and evaluate effectiveness of implemented countermeasures.
