Estimating Cost per Lane Mile for Routine Highway Operations and Maintenance

Description:

This information guide presents a clearinghouse of estimated costs for various operations and maintenance treatments in Michigan, Ohio, and Wisconsin. Treatments include those for pavement condition, shoulders, roadside vegetation, drainage, signs, and pavement markings. Although the cost values may not reflect the maintenance costs incurred by other States for similar maintenance, the guide provides an estimate of the costs with a confidence interval, and shows a relative comparison of costs for a wide range of treatments.
