This application guide serves as a user guide for the FHWA RDE Tool. The RDE Tool assists users in extracting intersection, intersection approach, and ramp inventory data from existing roadway segment data, aerial imagery, video logs, and other information to integrate into a management information system.
The RDE Tool User’s Guide explains the RDE Tool’s functionality and the steps in its data extraction procedure. The guide assumes that the RDE Tool has been adapted to work with the agency’s GIS.
