New WorkSpace Tips
When a DGN file is opened in a new WorkSpace, some of the new features may not be immediately available. When a level, text style, or some other feature is used in a DGN file, that definition is copied to the active file. If that definition is changed in the library during a WorkSpace update, the definition in the individual DGN file could become out of sync. This document provides tips for identifying the problem, then fixing it.
Level Library Changes
The Level Manager can highlight levels that are out of sync with the level library. Levels that are out of sync with the library show a circle under the Modified column (Î symbol). If that column is not visible, right-click on the header and turn on Modified. Select any level that is out of sync, right-click on the level and choose Update Levels. The circle should disappear and the level definition will be in sync.

Text Styles Changes
The Text Styles dialog highlights text styles that are out of sync with the text style library. In-sync text styles have a checkmark on the icon next to the text style name. Out of sync text styles have a Î symbol on the icon. To sync the text styles, select the text styles needing updates, right click to bring up the menu, and choose Update from Library. They should all have a checkmark and be in sync with the text style library.

The Dimension Styles dialog highlights dimension styles that are out of sync with the text style library. In-sync dimension styles have a checkmark on the icon next to the dimension style name. Out of sync dimension styles have a Î symbol on the icon. To sync the dimension styles, select the dimension styles needing updates, right click to bring up the menu, and choose Update from Library. They should all have a checkmark and be in sync with the dimension style library.
