SlimGim is a heuristic approach to solving problems. It does not guarantee an optimal solution but instead speeds up the process of finding a satisfactory one where a perfect solution is impractical or impossible. The SlimGim method includes the following general steps:
- Access
- Design initiatives
- Implement
- Measure
- Adjust
- Repeat
The SlimGim roadmap strategy focuses on the following:
- Maximizing enterprise GIS performance
- Developing short-cycle transformation plans
- Using a data-informed process
- Measuring the performance and progress
