Project Description

The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), in cooperation with the Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) and U.S. Forest Service (USFS) is beginning work on the State Highway 14, Mt. Idaho Road to Meadow Creek Study. The study will identify potential issues and concerns that could affect project evaluation or decision-making for future road improvements.

The study corridor begins approximately 10 miles east of Grangeville, ID at the intersection of SH 14 and Mt. Idaho Road and extends eight miles east to the Meadow Creek Campground.

The study will investigate the existing roadway, landownership, environmental resources, safety concerns, and geotechnical conditions. It is anticipated that the study will take approximately two years to complete. No construction funding has been identified for roadway improvements.
