Archived Hardware Eligibility Letters – NCHRP 350

These letters are archived and are posted for "historical and research purposes only" per the sunset dates in the AASHTO/FHWA Joint Implementation Agreement and exceptions to these dates as posted on the AASHTO Committee on Design website.

WZ-03(a) NCHRP 350 TTI for Texas D.O.T. Work Zone Devices TTI tested numerous work zone traffic control devices. All the devices listed here were successfully tested in these two crash test programs and met TL-3 criteria. The attached drawings illustrate the tested hardware but do not necessarily provide enough information to fabricate the device. The crash testing is fully documented in the two reports1,2 which should be consulted for additional details of the hardware
