Rocky Flats National Wildlife Refuge Trails

Project Description

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS), and the Federal Highway Administration, Central Federal Lands Highway Division (FHWA-CFLHD), are proposing to construct an interior trail network within the Rocky Flats National Wildlife Refuge (ROFL NWR). The exact location and number of trails are being evaluated. One component of the project is to extend the Rocky Mountain Greenway trail through the Refuge. This project will be combined with the CO FLAP JEF 128(1) Trail Crossing to Rocky Flats National Wildlife Refuge, resulting in grade separated crossings on Indiana Street and Colorado State Highway 128.
