Lake Nighthorse is located approximately 1.7 miles southwest of the town of Durango along La Plata County Road 210. The lake provides access for recreational activities, including fishing, boating, and swimming. The Lake is managed by the City of Durango and the Bureau of Reclamation. 

 The Scope of Work is to:

• Reconstruct 0.8 miles of the existing roadway surface from the entrance station to the boat launch area.
• Replace the existing aggregate surfaced Overflow Parking Lot at the Swim Beach Area with a paved surface, enhance drainage conveyance through and around the parking lot, and provide a permanent water quality feature.
