Blue Lake Road

Project Description

Modoc County Road 258 (Blue Lake Road) is the primary access to the Modoc National Forest and the South Warner Wilderness Area from U.S. Route 395 at Likely, California. The purpose of this project is to address deteriorating pavement and unsafe conditions along Blue Lake Road. The project scope will improve 5.7 miles using a 3R process (pulverize and pave) along Blue Lake Road, beginning approximately 0.9 mile south of the intersection with County Road 64 (CR 64) and ending at the Blue Lake Campground / South Warner Road intersection. Campground Road will also receive 3R treatment (pulverize and pave) up to the campground loop road. The typical roadway section will consist of two 9-foot travel lanes and two 1-foot shoulders.
