Motorcyclist Advisory Council
In accordance with the provisions of the Fixing America’s Surface Transportation (FAST) Act Section 1426, the Motorcyclist Advisory Council (MAC) was established in 2017 to coordinate with and advise the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) on infrastructure issues of concern to motorcyclists. After its establishment, the MAC held five committee meetings and submitted a MAC recommendation report on March 11, 2020. Upon receiving the MAC’s recommendations, the FHWA conducted a motorcyclist safety project to address the MAC recommendations and developed synthesis reports and noteworthy practices. The MAC terminated in October 2020.
