Geospatial Highway Analysis
Project Information
This project provides data-analytic support for structuring Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) engineering and travel behavior inputs to the Geospatial Economic Multimodal System (GEMS) model as well as testing the application of the GEMS geotypes to selected transportation policy analyses.

- Data and Analysis
- Data-analytic support for structuring FHWA engineering and travel behavior inputs to the Geospatial Economic Multimodal System (GEMS) model.
- Application tests for GEMS geotypes to selected transportation policy analyses.
As GEMS advances through different phases of development, there will be a need to develop methodologies for applying intermediate outputs of GEMS to on-demand policy analysis. The recently developed GEMS geotypes will be tested to develop analytical methodologies that can be readily applied to study national policy implications, particularly within the area of safety.
