Project Abstract:
This project identifies and synthesizes available tools, methods, and issues to consider in determining when it may be appropriate to integrate predictive analytics and similar tools into the real-time monitoring, detection, and prediction of travel conditions and operation of traffic management systems (TMSs). The project will also synthesize available predictive analytics tools used in transportation management and operations as well as in other industries and lessons learned with integrating these predictive analytics methods and tools into the real-time management and operation of TMSs.
