Forest Service Route 86 (FS-86) (Mileposts 0.2 -18.4) and State Route150 (SR) ERFO Repairs
Project Description
The project is funded under the Emergency Relief for Federally Owned Roads program (ERFO). The forest sustained severe damage from a 1,000-year storm between June 23 and June 26, 2016, causing road damage that included slides, loss of surfacing, heavy rutting and structural damage. The work includes asphalt concrete pavement, aggregate base, embankment construction, bridge replacement, ditch reconditioning, streambank stabilization, repair retaining wall, rock/riprap, debris and fallen tree removal, pipe culvert replacement, and other miscellaneous work. FS-86 is also known as Williams River Road, and can be accessed from SR 20 (Webster Road) in the west, and from SR 150 (Highland Scenic Highway) in the east. SR 150 (Highland Scenic Highway) is accessed by FS-86 in the west, US Route 219 (Seneca Trail) in the east, and SR 39 in the south.
