Project Description

Work includes replacement of a 1,070 feet long pedestrian timber bridge 23, utilizing helical piles to minimize environmental disturbance. New deck and railing will be installed. The existing bridge was damaged by hurricanes Isabel and Sandy. Bridge 24 is 20 feet long, located close to bridge 23, and will also be replaced to have a new deck and railing. The project is located next to the George Washington Memorial Parkway between Belle Haven Road in the north and Tulane Drive in the south.
