Chesapeake and Ohio Canal 3 Bridge Replacements, Box Culvert Repair and a New Pedestrian Bridge

Structure Number 3100-001P Lock 25 Bridge (LAT 39.103611, LON -77.472583) and Structure Number 3100-0039, Lock 25 Box Culvert.  The existing bridge is 20 -6 long, 12 -6 wide, with a total deck area of 256 square feet. The existing bridge will be replaced with a longer bridge. The existing bridge rating was reduced to 10 tons. Repoint and reset stone masonry on the existing box culvert wingwalls, replace the box culvert damaged rail with steel-backed timber guardrail.  Site is located on Route 913, in Montgomery County, MD.

Structure Number 3100-005P Dargan Bridge (LAT 39.36425, LON -77.740139). The existing bridge is 42 -0 long, 12 -1 wide, with a total deck area of 508 square feet. The bridge will be replaced with a new bridge to comply with the current bridge design standards. Bridge rating has been reduced to 15 tons. Bridge is located on Route 928, in Washington County, MD.

Structure Number 3100-013 Fifteen Mile Creek Bridge (LAT 39.625914, LON 78.385872). The existing bridge is 41 -1 long, 12 -2 wide, with a total deck area of 500 square feet.  The bridge will be replaced with a new bridge to comply with the current bridge design standards. Bridge is located on Route 206, in Allegany County, MD.

Culvert 82 (LAT 39.307458, -77.585504).  Construct a new pedestrian bridge, approximately 115 feet long, over/next to the existing culvert. Reconstruct the gravel trail approaches. The trail traffic will continue using the existing low water crossing during the construction. Site is located in Frederick County, MD.
