Abstract:

This TechBrief provides an overview of the redesign of the Pavement Testing Facility (PTF) that has been in operation since 1986. The PTF was originally developed to generate accelerated pavement testing performance data related to design, rehabilitation, and the effect of increased loads, and to support the long-term research efforts of the Strategic Highway Research Program.
