Interactive Highway Safety Design Model
Project Information
The interactive highway safety design model (IHSDM) is a suite of software analysis tools for explicit, quantitative evaluation of safety and operational effects of geometric design decisions during the highway design process. The complete IHSDM suite consists of six modules: policy review, crash prediction, design consistency, Intersection review, traffic analysis, and driver/vehicle.
Goals
The objective of this project is to provide lifecycle systems engineering and software development services for the IHSDM software system, including:
- Maintain the current public release of IHSDM.
- Provide system engineering and software development services to incorporate enhanced and new capabilities.
- Provide services and support to IHSDM developers, testers, users, external application developers, and distributors.
