Deliverables

Deliverable Name:
Vehicle-to-Infrastructure (V2I) Safety Applications Concept of Operations
Deliverable Type:
Other
Deliverable Description:
This document describes the Concept of Operations (ConOps) for five connected vehicle vehicle-to-infrastructure (V2I) safety applications, and the underlying connected vehicle system, for crash avoidance for the U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT). The ConOps describes the current state of roadway safety operations across the country regarding intersection safety, rail crossing safety, weather impacts, oversize safety, and work/speed zones; establishes the reasons for change; and describes the selected connected vehicle V2I safety applications in terms of their features and operations by: • Capturing and documenting user needs as they relate to connected vehicle V2I safety applications. • Describing the safety applications and connected vehicle system functions in nontechnical language from the user’s point of view.
Deliverable Name:
Final concept of operations report
Deliverable Type:
Research report or guidelines
Deliverable Description:
The deliverable is a final report of the Safety Concept of Operations effort.
