Biography:
Dr. Salar Zabihi serves on the Infrastructure Analysis and Construction Team (HRDI-20) within the Office of Infrastructure Research and Development. Zabihi comes to Federal Highway Administration where he worked as a senior consultant for the Maryland State Highway Administration (MDSHA).
In that role, he provided support to MDSHA's Pavement and Geotechnical Division. His responsibilities included recommending pavement rehabilitation strategies and overseeing construction of both flexible and rigid pavements. Additionally, he collaborated with MDSHA District staff to optimize project selection, prioritization, and cost-effective treatment recommendations. Zabihi also provided recommendations to improve pavement lifecycle performance and conducted training in pavement design methodologies.
