Abstract:

This TechBrief highlights the efforts of the research team, that conducted a multiyear research project for the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA). It focused on evaluating how converting from conventional intersections to alternative intersections affects safety and operational performance. This research may be of interest to transportation practitioners involved in transportation design, safety, and operations.
