Abstract:

This study evaluates the potential safety improvements of various intersection geometric and traffic control device treatments to reduce fatal and injury vehicular crashes and bicycle-specific crashes. The intent was to develop crash modification factors (CMFs) and benefit–cost (B/C) ratios for each safety improvement. Practitioners can use the CMFs and B/C ratios for decisionmaking in the project development and safety planning processes.
