Publication Information
Traffic professionals need to consistently evaluate all alternative intersection configurations and document intersection operational benefits. This information is vital to roadway designers who need to make informed decisions on whether to select a traditional or alternative intersection design and potentially choose among competing alternative intersection designs.
Therefore, this study’s objective was to identify and assess proposed alternative intersection installations and their operational performance before construction was started (before period) and contrast traffic operations to conditions following the completion of construction (after period).
