Abstract:

Joint sealing and resealing on portland cement concrete pavements is a commonly performed highway maintenance operation. The Strategic Highway Research Program's (SHRP) H-I06 joint reseal study was part of the most extensive pavement maintenance experiment ever conducted. The information derived from this study will contribute greatly toward advancing the state of the practice of joint sealing and resealing on portland cement concrete pavements.

This report provides information to pavement engineers and maintenance personnel on the results of the H-I06 joint reseal experiment. It presents the perfonnance and cost-effectiveness of various j oint sealant materials and procedures for sealing joints on portland cement concrete pavements.
