Estimation of Key PCC, Base, Subbase, and Pavement Engineering Properties From Routine Tests and Physical Characteristics

Publication Information

Publication Type:
Report
Publication Number:
FHWA-HRT-12-030
Abstract:

This study initially verified the adequacy of the Long-Term Pavement Performance (LTPP) data and also made a preliminary assessment of the feasibility of
developing the correlation models. In the next phase of the study, prediction models were developed to help practicing engineers estimate proper MEPDG inputs. This report describes the basis for selecting material parameters that need predictive models, provides a review of current LTPP program data, and proposes several statistically derived models to predict material properties.
