Project Abstract:

The project aims to support  the Travel Model Improvement Program (TMIP) - Freight Model Improvement Program (FMIP) online community of practice (COP) (TMIP-FMIP|COP) site (TMIP.org).

TMIP was created to advance the state of the practice of travel modeling by advancing research and building the technical capabilities of agencies’ staff. The success of TMIP is built upon the fundamental principle that sharing information benefits everyone in the transportation modeling community.

Over the past years, TMIP has increased its efforts to facilitate knowledge sharing by taking advantage of latest technology, which makes it easier for TMIP COP members to share information. The electronic lists that TMIP maintains are very popular with travel modelers.
