Project Information
The objective of this project is to advance understanding of cooperative automated driving systems developed on the CARMA platform to allow testing of arbitration and negotiation strategies applied to enhance infrastructure efficiently and ultimately reduce traffic congestion.
This project will focus on enhancing the CARMA platform, cooperative applications, and algorithms leading towards deployment. This project also will utilize a diverse team of national experts from both public and private sectors, through several established partnerships and current FHWA Interagency Agreements to accelerate the technology transfer and deployment of cooperative vehicle applications on state highways.
