Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality Input Data Dictionary
Project Information
Administered by the Federal Highway Administration, the congestion mitigation and air quality (CMAQ) program has been reauthorized under every successive transportation bill up to and including the Fixing America's Surface Transportation (FAST) Act in 2015. As with its predecessor legislation, the FAST Act provides funding to areas in nonattainment or maintenance for ozone, carbon monoxide, and/or particulate matter. CMAQ project justification as well as annual reporting require the development of reliable air quality benefit estimates. The estimated benefits also play a key role in the target setting and reporting requirements associated with the CMAQ performance measure. The objective of this task order is to research the data structure and inputs associated with estimation processes for CMAQ project eligibility categories.
