CARMA Proof-of-Concept TSMO Use Case Testing
Project Information
The objective of this project is to advance the CARMASM ecosystem to enable further capabilities of Cooperative Automated Driving Systems (CADS) to interact with the road infrastructure to enhance infrastructure efficiently and ultimately reduce traffic congestion through Transportation Systems Management and Operations (TSMO).
This work will build upon and extend the research from Prototype II (693JJ318F000225), that developed CARMA PlatformSM, CARMA CloudSM and CARMA Simulation. This project will focus on enhancing the CARMA PlatformSM, CARMA CloudSM and CARMA simulation. To enable further cooperative automation research leading towards deployment. This project also will utilize a diverse team of national experts from both public and private sectors, through several established partnerships and current FHWA Interagency Agreements to accelerate the technology transfer and deployment of cooperative vehicle applications on state highways.
