CARMA Collaborative
Project Information
The objective of this project is to initiate CARMA Collaborative to bring together experts from academia, industry and public agencies to collaborate as a community on the opportunities of this enabling technology and the applications within the Transportation System Management and Operations (TSMO) programs. By breaking down the stove pipes across these groups and enabling the incubation of ideas focused on the future of TSMO
The CARMA Collaborative is a growing community of CARMASM users and prospective users invested in developing intelligent transportation solutions and cooperative Automated Driving Systems (ADS) to improve transportation efficiency and safety. Communications between vehicles, infrastructure, and roadways is essential for the progression of connected and automated vehicles (CAVs), and the CARMA Collaborative evolved as a solution to bring together diverse stakeholders to envision and develop the future of the transportation industry. With an Agile and interactive approach, the CARMA Collaborative is creating opportunities to cultivate relationships, integrate expertise, rapidly develop and pilot transportation technologies, implement cooperative ADS, and strengthen the transportation industry.
