Applications for the Environment: Real-Time Information Synthesis Evaluation Project
Project Information
This is a three-and-a-half-year project to evaluate the environmental impacts of United States Department of Transportation's (USDOT's) connected vehicle (CV) programs. This project involves three major objectives: (1) To identify the possible CV applications that will have significant environmental impacts. (2) To quantify the impacts through extensive field testing and modeling. (3) To conduct a cost/benefit study for providing the USDOT with the findings to gain better understanding of the environmental impacts of the CV programs, and to support the USDOT's decisionmaking process on CV investment.
