ADS OEM Industry Research Collaboration and Integrated Highway Prototype
Project Information
The objective of this project is to advance basic travel use case using the CARMASM ecosystem to enable further capabilities of cooperative automated driving systems (CADS) to interact with the road infrastructure to enhance infrastructure efficiently and ultimately reduce traffic congestion through transportation systems management and operations (TSMO).
This work will build upon and extend the research from Prototype II (693JJ318F000225), that developed CARMA PlatformSM and CARMA CloudSM. This project will focus on migrating the integrated highway prototype (which was developed under DTFH61-12-D-00020/0026) on CARMA3 to enable further cooperative automation research leading towards deployment. This project shall utilize a team of CARMA users to support development and testing with their own CARMA enabled vehicles.
