Impacts

A critical stage in the research and technology delivery process is the assessment of how deployed technologies are meeting the Federal Highway Administration's (FHWA) national mission and strategic goals. There is not one "size" or type of impact assessment process that is appropriate for all of FHWA's major programs that involve research or technology deployment. Impact assessments are a sampling of models, databases, and performance measurement programs that are routinely employed by Agency program managers and stakeholders to assess the relative impact of different innovative processes and technologies.
