These girls participated in FHWA's Take Your Sons and Daughters to Work Day in 2016, a fun day of scientific discovery to encourage children to consider careers in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). The U.S. Department of Transportation is supporting women in transportation through programs like the Women and Girls in Transportation Initiative.
