Line Graph. This graph compares temperature data recorded at the Maxwell Street Market. The graph is titled "Temperature Data from Maxwell Street Market." The x-axis shows biweekly dates from August 2008-February 2009. The y-axis measures temperature in degrees Fahrenheit from -20 to 100, in increments of 20 degrees. According to the legend, the temperatures were measured at ground depths of "deep," "middle," and "shallow," and "air" temperature. Generally, the temperatures for all four locations decline from approximately 80°F in August 2008 to between 35°F and 40°F in February 2009. The temperatures measured at the "deep" depth are generally a few degrees higher than those at both "middle" and "shallow" depths, especially in the middle of the winter, when the temperature difference is as much as 10°F. The "air" temperature data shows the most variation in highs and lows but still follows the same general trend. In addition, a callout box highlights the temperature data from January 16, 2009, showing "Air: -7.0, Deep: 38.6, Middle: 34.1, Shallow: 33.4."
