Project Details

Project Description:

This effort is intended to be a first implementation of Vehicle to Infrastructure (V2I) communications supporting Signal Phase and Timing (SPaT). Additional work is planned, but this evaluation and testing supported by the Turner-Fairbank Highway Research Center (TFHRC) is intended as a first step to ensure general concepts and designs do not have flaws that would impact other vehicles or overall traffic flow if they were to be implemented on a larger scale.
