Pahranagat National Wildlife Refuge Access

Project Description

The purpose of this project is to increase safety at two intersections by designing and constructing acceleration and deceleration lanes and turn pockets along US93, along with a new entrance to the Refuge that includes paving of the Visitor Center Road and parking. There are two proposed locations for turn lanes: at the Refuge visitor center access road and at the Refuge campground access road. These lanes will be widened off the existing edge of traveled way, and the through lane will be shifted to provide for a center left turn lane.
