Fossil House Road

Project Description

This project is in the Berlin Ichthyosaur State Park which lies in the Humboldt Toiyabe National Forest. The project will make improvements to both Union Canyon Road (FS 024) and the roadway leading up to Fossil House (Fossil House Road).

Improvements along Union Canton Road will be the construction of five low water crossings. An additional area, approximately 160 feet long, will include stream bank stabilization improvements adjacent to the roadway. Fossil House Road will be widened to an 18-foot gravel roadway and include construction of a soldier pile wall along with the parking area reconditioning.
