Marais de Cygnes National Wildlife Refuge

Project Description

The Refuge Entrance Road (Route 010), begins at the intersection with Kansas State Highway 52 and proceeds south, ending at the Refuge Headquarters and is located within Linn County, Kansas, approximately 39 miles south of Kansas City. Construction improvements will include clearing and grubbing, minor drainage structures, pedestrian bridge over channel, aggregate base, asphalt paving, and other minor safety improvements. This project includes improvements to the following routes: entrance road (Route 010), parking areas (Route 900 and 909) connected to the Entrance Road, and a new “Refuge Orientation Trail” east of the Headquarters.
