Project Description
The Banks Lowman Road connects the towns of Banks and Lowman in the Boise County. Pavement distress was observed between milepost 29 and 34 of the Banks Lowman Road. The distress includes delamination and potholing. In general, this section of road is heavily shaded by mature vegetation. Boise County staff indicated that snow remains on the route throughout the winter. The delamination is thought to be from a combination of melt/freeze and potentially cold temperatures when laying the top mat of existing pavement. See photos below.
A pavement analysis was conducted and the design team is currently exploring the best treatment to repair the roadway.
