Merced National Wildlife Refuge Parking Area and Trails Rehabilitation

Project Details

The project is located within the Merced National Wildlife Refuge, which is in Merced County, California. The project consists of an existing trail of about 1.11 miles.  The trail begins at parking area RTE 915, which has existing gravel. This project was proposed to provide better Architectural Barriers Act (ABA) access for visitors with disabilities on trails located inside the Merced National Wildlife Refuge. The project includes resurfacing the parking area with aggregate surface course and resurfacing the Cottonwood Trail with new aggregate surface course that will meet the ABA Standards.
